Hi, My name is Bek!
I was raised in Singapore and Beijing, the early years of my life were filled with travel to more places than years I've lived. Not a single adventure didn't do it's part in creating my fascination with history and world cultures and my insatiable wanderlust. The magic of the camera first captured my heart at the age of 8, and is the root of all of my creative endeavors. I have been making metal jewelery since 2006 and in the past couple of years added felting and knitting techniques to the repertoire.
I am sure the variety of my creations will continue to vary as I am always finding inspiring new objects and materials!
I currently live in Louisville,KY with my husband and several hives of bees. Our minds and home are in a constant state of creative claustrophobia, as we take on far more projects than we probably ever should.
In both the images I capture and pieces I make, I strive to evoke thoughts and memories of hidden places and forgotten traditions and techniques.
